A cooperative that supplied the workers was established, a kindergarden was built, followed by a primary school. Additionally to that a club was founded for the recreation of the employes, including one of the largest libraries of the area, a theatre and various sportive facilities.

The historical Site of "São Pedro"

The "São Pedro" factory was built 1910-1911 at the border of the city of Itu, being a part of the local industrialization era. The factory was run successfully until the 80's and became later on, declared by the municipality, a historical heritage.
